CHECK THE PIVOT SCREW.

Upon first using KLIP, you may notice that the blade is too loose or too tight for your liking! We recommend that you adjust this pivot screw to your liking before daily use. Please double check the pivot screw with a flat-head screwdriver to adjust the tightness. Counter-clockwise to loosen and clockwise to tighten. Use very small 1/4 turns to fine tune the pivot screw. Do not over-loosen, over-tighten, or attempt to remove the pivot screw completely.

BREAK-IN PERIOD.

Once the pivot screw has been loosened or tightened to your liking, you will need to open and close the blade several times (~10 to 20 times) to break in the pivot mechanism. KLIP becomes smoother over time.

PIVOT SCREW MAINTENANCE

With all folding knives, it is important to periodically check on the pivot screw. It is not uncommon that due to normal use the pivot screw may become loose in your pocket. Simply check and re-tighten the pivot screw periodically to prevent accidental disassembly. We recommend checking this daily!
