Knives

We warrant each and every Dapper Design knife to be free of defects in material and workmanship for the life of the knife, and we will repair or replace with a new Dapper Design knife, at our (Dapper Design's) option, any Dapper Design knife that is defective. Dapper Design does not warrant its products against normal wear, misuse, or product modifications. Do not use your new knife as a screwdriver, pry bar, chisel or punch. Do not throw your knife or use it for any purpose other than cutting. Do not disassemble your knife. Do not sharpen your knife on a power grinding wheel. Any of these acts will void your Warranty.

If your knife was damaged due to misuse, or normal wear and tear, we can analyze the damage and repair it for a reasonable fee. If the knife is unable to be repaired, we will extend a one-time courtesy offer, allowing you the option to purchase a new knife for 50% off of our MSRP price listed on the website.

Disassembly of our products for any reason voids our warranty. We charge $10.00 to reassemble a knife. 

Flashlights

We warrant that if you purchase one of our flashlights, and we determine that it is defective in material and/or workmanship within 2 years of the purchase date, we will repair or replace it.

Our warranty does not cover consumables or normal wear-and-tear — things like batteries draining, headbands wearing out, USB ports, and switches wearing out — or damage resulting from abuse, alterations, unauthorized repairs, water damage, moisture damage (e.g. evidenced by discolored rubber button switches and visible calcium build up on circuit boards), dirt and/or dust inside the lens, or improper unauthorized use. "Acts of God" are also not covered by warranty; if your flashlight is outside during the rain, storm, inclement weather, etc.

Should you need a replacement product, we reserve the right to replace an obsolete product with a current production, or like model while supplies last. In the event that any issue with a Dapper Design product is not covered under this warranty Dapper Design can arrange to have the product repaired for a reasonable fee.

 

Warranty Claims

Simply ship your Dapper Design product in secure packaging to the Dapper Design address below, postage paid and with delivery tracking. Depending on your specific case, we may send you a PRE-PAID shipping label. Dapper Design is not responsible for any product(s) lost in transit to, or from, the Dapper Design facility. If we did not provide you a PRE-PAID return label, you will need to email us the tracking number you received when returning the product(s). Warranty does not transfer or extend after you file a claim. There is a limitation of just 1 (one) warranty claim per customer per product.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS

We are unable to provide a PRE-PAID shipping label for our international customers as our shipping software does not offer this feature. You will be asked to ship your product(s) back to us at your own cost. If the product(s) are found to be a manufacturing defect (our fault) you will be paid a maximum $15 reimbursement for the shipping costs and we will replace/repair your product free of charge and ship it back at our cost. However, if the product(s) are found to be non-defective, you will not be reimbursed and you will be invoiced (digitally online) to pay for return shipping fees ($15 to $20 depending on your country) not to exceed $30 USD.

Warranty Claim Process

When we receive your return, we will document and troubleshoot the product(s). If we find that your product(s) was not defective, we charge $15 (USA Customers) or up to $30 (INTERNATIONAL Customers) to cover the cost of both inbound and outbound shipping we incurred during the warranty exchange process. You will be emailed an electronic invoice for these costs before we send back your product(s). This is why it is important that you read the User Guides and troubleshoot your product(s) before sending it in for warranty.
